Rent a car accident outside the New York State?
I was involved in an accident this morning with my rental car and another car in Orlando, Florida and it was my fault. I saw the red light pushed the brakes, but couldnt stop before the line and hit another car. damage to another car which was not much but the rental car was damaged pretty bad. I was here on vacation. I live in New York and Geico have collision coverage with $ 500 deductible. Since I have coverage the collision, said that my insurance will pay for all damages, except that I have to pay $ 500. The problem is that the officer also gave me ticket 4 points for disobeying a red light. I already have 4 points for speeding in NY I have a little under 3 years. Do these points to add to my license, too? What I do now? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
No points will not be added against your license due to out of state.
