where can I find affordable housing in or around Orlando?

I am looking in areas outside Orlando, Fla., to relocate with my family … We have a toddler & 2pets. We recently visited Orlando on a family vacation to the "investigation" of the area … we like the Winter Park area and I'd like more information from people who live there … also, we met some people in Cocoa Beach, who live in SW Orlando and said this is a nice place to live and that is affordable … is this true? We want a place to feel safe and at home. all information and detail as we can get would be great! Thank you very much!

Winter Park is HUGE! The area around the airport also. stay away from the west side of Orlando … TBO (track de Azahar) and downtown. Cocoa Beach is nice but not a lot of work out there. Anywhere on the east side is fine. I have moved several times and I usually do is look in the school system. If you see a home you want, get the zip code and go to the school Web site and to check whether FL "A" school. If its not, stay away from it! You do not want your child in a school B. The school is usually a sign of the neighborhood. I've forgotten the name of the website.
