Florida Vacation Guide

You know you want to vacation on Sanibel Island. This unique blend of tropical resort island, adventure, romance and family fun perfectly. You know that spending your vacation time on Sanibel will give you maximum comfort and convenience as well as an extraordinary view of nature. With the island of half of a nature reserve, but offering a wide and interesting range of restaurants and shops, this is undoubtedly his favorite destination.

Election of Sanibel was the easy part.

More difficult is the choice of accommodation.

If you take the options step by step and one by one, the decision will be much easier.

You know you want to go off the island often to explore the surroundings. Then you may want to consider the westernmost tip of the island. This area is home to the picturesque Sanibel Light House and is closer to the road, into and out of Sanibel.

Or maybe you and your family prefer to be into mainstream social activity holiday. You may be better off staying at one of the many resorts lining the Gulf of Mexico. This area has many plantations and more near the core of restaurants and shops.

Perhaps what most want is the isolation, the feeling of being in a tropical hideaway, a more close to the nature of the island. Then you probably prefer farther west end of the island.

This end, closer to Captiva, is less densely populated and offers easy access to the Ding Darling Nature Preserve.

Once you have decided on the island where I'd rather be, you will have many other decisions to make.
