In an earlier blog post I noted that Sanibel Island, Florida is one of the easiest holiday destinations to travel with your pet. Accommodations are often accepted pets and beaches throughout the island invite a leash to enjoy. Moreover, many island residents have pets and walking their dogs most likely to participate in conversation (if you are susceptible to it) on his.
So there is no need to leave Fido or Tabby increasingly behind. Just make sure that the property you are renting pets allowed and that the dialogue with the owner or manager about your pet and ask for the standard rate of company that property. Pet fees are generally not refundable and are used to help the owner to do a thorough deep cleaning or departure.
With all the comforts that gives your dog on the island, there is one more "surprises" that can become a probability in March 2009. There will be two referendums to vote for City Council Sanibel in March. One of establishing a dog park on the island and the second to remove a portion of land owned by the Conservation of Sanibel, Captiva Foundation (SCCF) of the "Environmentally Sensitive Land Sanibel area. The lands belonging to SCCF is needed to make the dog park large enough to serve its purpose to allow dogs …. run freely within the park, off leash required.
Should the referendum pass, and many inside and outside the island expect this result, both tenants and residents of the island will have a great alternative to walking their dogs tethered on the roads or beaches of Sanibel Island and reduces the possibility that owners feel that you have to leave their dogs off the leash on the beach. Here in the park, the dogs will be free to run and meet other dogs. Social interaction between owners can also take place in a friendly way. This is especially nice for older residents on the island. The only requirement on the use of the park is that Park dogs must be vaccinated for rabies …. and owners were asked to provide a proof of vaccination. Island residents and visitors who come the park will also have to have proof of a valid license for your dog.
The Sanibel Dog Club, in essence, the organization most concerned that the passage referendums, said that the new package of services for the property is more attractive than its current status as the dog park parks will of human model where landscaping is key to making the area attractive. Dog Club will be taking full responsibility for the maintenance of the park. There will be no cost to taxpayers or fees to the park users to pay to enter.
And for spring rentals in Sanibel, the dog park will be well received by visitors who have another opportunity to give your dog appreciated best of all vacation can offer. Although the park will not be finished in March, the opportunities to pampering may well be a reality after the March vote. As a vacation rental owner of two properties, one of which accept pets, I know the dog park will be considered as an added value for those seeking a holiday destination where they can comfortably treasured holiday with his partner 4 legs. I hope that measures will be submitted to vote and would wager a guess that this will be a win-win-win for the town, its residents, visitors and property owners of vacation rentals. Ah, and let's not forget the dogs. He'll love it!
