Each year there are people looking to go on holiday with their partners, and this is why the travel industry is doing so well, even in this era of economy crisis. So people are looking everywhere for a nice getaway, look to Europe, Canada, Italy, sometimes as far as Japan. But did you can have a romantic getaway right here in the U.S.? It's hard to believe, but there are many resorts here in the States so romantic and in any place you can go abroad!

One such place is known as Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which lies only twenty miles north of Miami. The original Fort Lauderdale was built in 1838 by Major William Lauderdale, but left in 1842 at the conclusion of the Seminole war. It is widely regarded as the 'Venice America ', because of their waterways, and was also once called the capital of spring break in Florida. It has since matured and essentially become a very pleasant place for anyone to visit. So what can be done in this amazing city, when you're with that special someone?

Dining:

Casablanca Cafe, a Mediterranean restaurant serving very nice California wines raspberry vinaigrette soles and muscles Thai coconut are served, along with a patio view from above, if they dare to arrive early. Perhaps the best part of this facility is that no reservations are required.

Blue Moon Fish Co.: Lobsters, Soufflé, mussels, and a beautiful dining room where seal life is etched on the windows. This is a very food establishment fine bronze lamps and an outdoor dining area with sea views. Make your reservation at the bar overlooking the water for you and the person you love can contemplate the majesty of the sea at this restaurant that people around has been the desire to enter!

Places to Go:

Bonnet House Museum and Gardens: This structure was built in the decade 1920 by Frederic Clay Bartlett, as his version of a plantation house. It's amazing to walk through this structure and see a piece of history preserved. Admission is $ 20.00, but residents in the area are $ 3.00 front, and members are admitted free.

Fort Lauderdale Beach (South): Between 17th Street and Sunrise Boulevard, is one of the most stunning beaches that Florida has to offer. Enjoy a stroll on the beach with the person you love, bury their toes in the sand, the better and the whole experience the breathtaking views of the ocean that extends indefinitely.

Entertainment:

Broward Center for the Performing Arts: This is a wonderful place to go see a show with the one you love. There are people everywhere who carry out, whether you are making shoes talent, or theatrical performances. Best of all, they have balcony seats!

Museum of Discovery and Science and IMAX 3D Theater: There are very few people in the world who enjoy a good museum, or at least a decent trip to the Imax. Tot the head of his museum to learn all sorts of things about our world, including gravity, animal life, and so much else, and if you get bored of it, go see one or the many shows that are playing at the Imax!
These are just some of the things you can do while in Fort Lauderdale, the Venice of America. There is much more, but certainly, you discover whily is exploring such a city!
