With 40 miles of beaches, Sarasota County is one of America's most desirable places to live and vacation.

Of particular interest: Besides enjoying this lovely beach,
canoeing, kayaking and fishing are very popular in the bays and
Bay Lagoon.

Manasota Beach
Location: 8570 Manasota number Road, West End @ Manasota Beach
Road.

Services: 1500 feet of beach, 14 hectares of the bay of the Gulf, first aid,
boat ramps, walk, port facilities, dune walkovers,

Activities: swimming, boating, fishing, shelling, walking,
sun
Pets: No
Of special interest: The beach is located between the Gulf and
the Intracoastal Waterway. On the Intracoastal side, a boat ramp
and port facilities are available that allow access to the Bay
and the Gulf. The 620 meters berth becomes in a scenic boardwalk
which meanders through the mangroves.

Casperson Beach
Location: 4100 Harbor Drive, Venice, south of the airport

Parking: Free lots
Services: 2 miles from the beach, 177 acres, 1100 foot walk,
Path 34 miles, picnic area, bathrooms
Activities: swimming, shelling, hiking, fishing, handicapped

Of special interest: Caspersen is recognized as one of the most
bombing nice beaches in this area. This is an exceptional
good place to find prehistoric shark teeth. You can see
freshwater marshes and salt water, mangrove areas and tidal
floors. Enjoy a 20 minute walk through the nature Caspersen, the route of
that has developed through a coastal hammock. The
southern two thirds of first waterfront has been left in its natural
state. A dune restoration system with walkovers has been
out to preserve the coastline.

Brohard Park
Location: 1600 Harbor Drive in Venice airport property

Services: 84 hectares, Venice municipal fishing pier, bait shop,
Pelican Man Sanctuary, restrooms, food concession, restaurant
near Paw Park
Activities: bird watching, swimming, fishing, sunbathing,
walking, shelling
Pets: Yes, in Paw Park
Of particular interest: For dog lovers, on the southern tip of Brohard
Beach is the Paw Park, with water sources puppy drinking, showers
coverings on dogs only, fire hydrants and the post office. Dog lovers
have declared this park and the beach be the best dog in the park
the state, where dogs are allowed to roam freely.

Service Club Park
Location: 1190 Harbor Drive, just north of and adjacent to Brohard
Beach, Venice

walk

Of particular interest: A reef containing fossilized material is
is one quarter mile from the coast making it a favorite
local divers.
