What to take to a vacation package in Florida in August?

We visit Disney and Universal and was told that the heat is extreme in August. I do not want to have everything and wind up not using or paying for overweight luggage. We'll be there for 8 days. Thanks for your help.

Certainly you should not need to over-burden. Use light colors, all cotton garments. Shorts are good. Comfortable walking shoes are important. Rain is possible for a travel umbrella is a good idea. Also wear a hat that provides protection against the sun, but allows your head to "breathe". Sunglasses and sunscreen are important. A small backpack makes a good carry on bag and will be useful for touring the parks. Pack one or two nicer outfits to go to a restaurant or club better. At Disney, be careful to use the FASTPASS option. It's free and allows you to avoid standing in long lines in the heat. Hope you have a great time!
