Lauderdale-by-the-Sea (LBTS) is a place for those who can not escape the "city", but still want to enjoy a beautiful beach. LBTS is a metropolitan city Luxury picturesque seaside village, located between Ft Lauderdale, south, and Pompano Beach, north. The two main roads in this city are A1A that runs north and south, and Commercial Blvd. east and west.
Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a small area of only 1.5 miles and a half long, and has nearly 6,300 full time residents, with approximately 11,350 inhabitants in all of the winter. The stretch of the beautiful beach of the Atlantic, off the road A1A is definitely of the assets of the city.

Plenty of recreational activities are available in the surrounding area, including swimming and water sports or fishing locally Anglins Fishing Pier at the end of Commercial Blvd. There is no shortage of shopping centers, due to the proximity to which Ft.Lauderdale Beach Place, Las Olas Riverfront, and Galleria malls, and Miami, which has the great Dolphin Mall.
