What are the laws on renting a holiday apartment in Key West, Florida?
?? I know that in New York it is illegal to rent an apartment short term or sublet or something? Anybody know of good cheap places to stay for 2 weeks from 15 June to 29 June in key west thanks?
June should be a good time to find something cheaper here in Key West, but remember that Key West is always more expensive than most other U.S., except perhaps Hawaii and Alaska time. I would suggest you check the local newspaper – you can subscribe to it in www.keysnews.com – and you will be able to see the listings of apartments, rooms, etc. There are laws about renting here, but it's the owners who have to worry about these tenants. Many people here advertising their apartments craigslist – there is a section for the Florida Keys. So look there. Start contacting some people who are advertising in one of those places and most likely find something that works for you.
