Myrtle Beach for a family vacation or the Florida Panhandle?
We are seeking a place for family vacation this summer in mid to late June. We are driving from the Midwest and would be within 1,200 miles on each side. We want to be safe on a beach, but have never been anywhere in the North or South Carolina or the Florida Panhandle. Is there a better place? (We do not want to Orlando). Should we be worried about hurricanes at this time the year? Thank you!
Hello …. I'm going to Myrtle Beach each spring myself. I have another trip coming in about a month ….. I love it so much I want to live there in the next year or so. Usually they fly and I live in Minnesota, which is the Midwest. In all fairness though, I've never been shot in Florida. I know that the sign saying that the area never gets hit with hurricanes is incorrect. To a lesser extent, they felt a lot of storms in the last two years. However, Myrtle Beach has been lucky and has only been affected by minor storms and tropical storms. They are entitled. The hurricane season begins June 1 but usually takes a few weeks of the season to start getting active ….. Myrtle Beach is affordable for families and has excellent shopping, restaurants and more attractions Barefoot Landing. Start dates with North Myrtle Beach but as the weeks bike is mid to late June and traffic can be horrendous and probably not so familiar then ……. If I go to Florida ever want to see the area of Venice and of course all the keys. I also like going to Daytona just to go to the Nascar race. You can get a free guide to Myrtle Beach in Nice www.myrtlebeachlive.com. It is a very good book size each year. North Myrtle also offers a book on your site too. It will have a time where you decide to go.

Summer Rental
$9.98 John Candy's first leading role was in this 1985 film by Carl Reiner, in which the comic actor played a stressed-out air traffic controller who takes his family on a Florida vacation and has to deal with arrogant, rich jerks. Candy is good in what is almost a straight part (albeit with some jokes), and Reiner keeps the tone in check so his star has an opportunity to show more than one dimension. -... |
