
To the east is the Florida state capital, Tallahassee, with its streets of elegant Southern mansions. To the west is far from Pensacola, which is said to be on the country's oldest settlement, dating from 1559. Among these cities, is the potential for a range of different holidays.
Tallahassee was called by the Apalachee Indians.
It is best enjoyed by crossing along the Canopy Roads. As its name suggests, are the ways in the center of the city, where the Spanish-moss-dripping oak trees connect above the streets forming a lush tunnel-like canopy.
Visit the Capitol building and go to the 22 on level ground observation. There you can see magnificent views of the city and beyond. You can view it still Old Capitol building, with its red and white awnings. Many thousands of students to bring a real buzz to Tallahassee, which culminated in the evening when the music scene Live is designed for a younger audience.
Pensacola is located on the western tip of the Florida peninsula.
Pensacola spent centuries changing hands between the French, Spanish and Britain before being ceded to the United States in 1821.
Most from visitors to go directly to the superb beaches. But the city's architecture makes it a great day of sightseeing.
There is three different areas to explore. All clustered around a simple grid of roads near la Palafox Street.
Northern district Hill is where Pensacola's high society resided during the late 19th century until the 1930s. The architecture of housing ranging from neo-classical mansions gantry black and white neo-Tudor cottages and Queen Anne houses.
The Palafox district, south of North Hill is full of turn of the century elegance, as the fluted columns and balustrades details.
The district of Seville, facing the bay of Pensacola, is a wonderful mixture of restored old houses and great museums.
Over the weekend of Memorial Day, the city is full of most gays and lesbians as 100,000 attendees, in the streets and on Navarre Beach in a whirl of entertainment.
