Located in Okalossa County, Florida, Fort Walton Beach is a complex phenomenon of fishing and the beach. Named one of the 100 best places to live, also filled with visitors over spring break and summer. Fort Walton Beach has 24 miles of powder soft beaches to walk on while you enjoy such things as the sun, fish, swim in the ocean or catch some waves. Families can enjoy one of the parks near the beach and the elderly can strike one of the many golf courses for a set of 18 holes. There is so much to do and what to do is only limited by your imagination, so follow me describe to you some of the places you can enjoy and leave your mind to think.
Your vacation destination is here, or maybe it's a place you like to live? Once you visit, you will not want to leave! Let's start with beaches, and as I mentioned before, there are 24 kilometers of beach that stretches from east to west. Rated safest beaches one of the top 10 in the country, this beach can run, swimming, sand castle building, tanning, fishing, windsurfing and kite surfing and sailing on board. It is the perfect place to relax and get some rays while of sun is setting on the West Coast. Along the beaches, there are four parks renovated beach front and six mini parks, including all showers, benches, restrooms and accessibility ADA.
It's time to get some food, as you will need energy to continue enjoying these extended activities. The best place you can go to the most variety is the Wayside County Park, also known as The Boardwalk. Services at Boardwalk sit on most of the public beach in the area. Includes a seafood restaurant 400-seat, a beach club with two levels, a piano duel night club, a playground, beach volleyball, 3 beach accesses with showers, 6 pavilions public picnic tables and restrooms. Two places to eat, they call attention are The Black Pearl and The crab trap, both specialized in sea food, but also offers a variety of steaks, burgers, salads and sandwiches. In the mood for Japanese-style seafood and meats? Then head a little closer to the mainland of Okinawa to Japan Steak and Seafood House at best shrimp, steak, chicken and scallops, all under the roof of this four-star establishment! How about a little French-Italian-Thai style meals? Then stay for beach side Mulhollow's Bistro 215, where the name of "kitchen fusion comes into play with a wide varied menu for all three flavors, tastes, such as fish and seafood sandwiches, seafood salads, fish fried and blackened seafood, Thai and Italian-style pasta, or throw a steak grilled to perfection in almost anything you can think well.
Well, if you do not want wine and dinner, how about catching your own dinner? Besides the beaches, there is little, or should I say, rather long secret that I say. If you're on the beach, you should not miss. It is the Okaloosa Island fishing pier, and "The big fish are what they are famous for," say local fishermen. The pier originally opened in 1972, a total length of 962 general that extended into the Gulf of Mexico, however, was rebuilt and reopened in 1998 with a new length of 1262 feet. This new length, allows an opportunity to catch even bigger fish that prefer deeper water farther offshore. The size and the number of fish caught here racing, and have even beaten the fish caught at sea in boats around the same area. Here's the deal of the place: you do not have to bring something with you! So if you're on vacation and take the rod and reel or a bait bucket, you can rent all of them here for $ 7.8 depending on the size Rod fishing. But if fishing is not your thing, then maybe the site is already. Head to the end of the pier to see 8 miles of ocean, east, west and south of 180 degrees in the three directions. Come see dolphins jump, watch fishermen catch tarpon over 100 pounds, as well as tuna, mackerel, cobia, and dolphin. See pelicans in the fear and gulls beg or steal food from a fisherman caught, instead of floating vessels or watch surfers from the back, and to catch monster waves off the beach. If capture fishermen starting to look good enough to eat raw, as it is starving, then do not worry, there are plenty of snacks and drinks all located on the waterfront.
Our last stop will be for the nightlife. Stay close to the beach for an amazing night in the swamp, with live music Live, from local and nationally recognized bands like Hoobastank, Trapt, Salavia, fuel, Cracker and Papa Roach. A large dance floor makes it an endless night as the DJ's Live Dance Place, trance, techno, pop, hip-hop and R & B. Drink it up and dance down to the best way to end the night here in Fort Walton Beach, that to dance it all away.
